Celebrating the success of apprentices across England, last week we supported NAW2017 and made it our own.
Sharing success stories, advising on the best routes to take after education and we even won an award – it was a GOOD week.
Now that NAW2017 has been and gone, it gets me thinking, what’s changed since NAW2016?
Over the last year we have seen 8 of our Apprentices graduate from the recruitment apprenticeship and we’ve launched two new apprenticeship programmes meaning we can now offer more diverse career pathways and qualifications.
As BPS’ Learning & Development Manager, I personally feel proud of the overall success of our Rising Stars Apprenticeship Programme. Working very closely with the apprentices, I see how much each individual grows both professionally and on a personal level too. It’s clear to see what difference the apprenticeship programme is making.
Reflecting on 2016, the Rising Stars Programme has contributed to many success stories, two key ones being the achievement of the REC’s ‘Apprentice of the Year’ award and ‘Best Apprenticeship Programme in England’ award.
Since starting the RS Programme in 2014 (we can’t believe it’s been three years already!), we’re even further ahead of where we dreamt we would be. It’s not just the Apprentices who go on a learning journey, each day we look to be better than the previous. The programme is constantly evolving, adapting to meet the expectations of both our business and our Apprentices.
From the very start, working with the REC to define what it means to run a recruitment apprenticeship, up until now it still astounds us how far we’ve come. Being one of the first recruitment companies to introduce an apprenticeship, we are paving the way to offer young people a chance to start and build their careers within the recruitment industry.
We’ve seen how much we can accomplish and for our Rising Stars the sky is truly the limit. We can’t wait to give more apprentices the opportunity to grow and exceed their potential.
