Today is an exciting day for everyone who has received their A-Level results. I hope you got the results you were hoping for.

You are now entering one of the most important periods in your life. It is the time you decide what career path you want to pursue. There are many options open to you. Some of your friends will be going into work, others into higher education and some will do a hybrid of both through an apprenticeship.  It is a great option if you want to carry on with your studying but want to earn while you learn.

I manage the “Rising Stars” apprenticeship programme at BPS World. We are a recruitment organisation who are experts in finding the best talent for the largest organisations in the world. We are on the lookout for exceptionally talented people who are looking to join our team as Apprentice Resourcers (i.e. Trainee Recruiters).

As an Apprentice Resourcer, you will learn the fundamentals of recruitment and all supporting specialisms – marketing, finance, IT and sales. You will benefit from the support of our internal Learning and Development team as well as external course tutors. Our current intake have been extremely successful with some of them earning a level 2 NVQ in Recruitment in only 9 months, 3 months ahead of schedule.

But don’t take my word for it, our Apprentice Resourcer has commented; “BPS offer so much in terms of training and development. I am learning while I am working and getting more involved in the role. They teach you so much about the industry, legislation and offer ongoing support. It doesn’t stop when your apprenticeship stops.”

With the cost of university so high, many students are returning home with debts over £30,000 and limited job prospects. This means apprenticeships are emerging as a viable alternative. Over the past decade the number of people enrolling on apprenticeships has increased by 300%., “90% of apprentices remain in employment once the duration of the apprenticeship has finished.” www.lovelocaljobs.com/uk-employment-and-market-statistics-to-know-in-2015

By undertaking an apprenticeship in recruitment you will be joining a thriving industry that is worth over £25 billion and making a real difference in people’s lives. You will be helping people find their dream job and you will be able to earn as you learn.
