She’ll be at the forefront of our ongoing success, making sure that our clients receive first-class service.

But what attracted her to the company and how’s she settling in so far?

What’s your full name?

Katerina Mousia.

Have you ever had an office nickname? If so, what?

No, never! I’m still waiting for one.

How did you find out about the role?

I found out via LinkedIn. I went through the job description, it ticked a lot of boxes, even though I had no background in recruitment. With my customer services experience I could see myself working here.

What really attracted you to BPS World?

When I went online to look for more information about the company I was immediately drawn in by the positive reviews on Glassdoor, people raving about BPS World and how everyone looked so happy. And when I started talking to Kamran (our Internal Recruiter) I got this really good vibe and could feel his excitement.

Where were you working before?

I spent 10 years working as a customer services manager for BorderLinx, an e-commerce logistics company. I travelled across the word, helping to set-up customer service centres in the Philippines, India and then later we expanded into Serbia. However, my department relocated, and I didn’t want to leave England! I come from Greece but I love it here.

What’s been the best thing about working here so far?

The people. Everyone has been so approachable, no matter their position or workload. I’ve found it to be a very open culture. Everyone worries about their first few weeks in a new job but the reception I’ve had has put my mind at ease.

What’s been your biggest career accomplishment?

I’d say setting-up customer service teams in India. I went out there by myself and it was a massive culture shock.

What’s been your biggest personal accomplishment?

Besides motherhood, I consider completing my Master’s Degree in Diplomatic Studies a big achievement. Overall, I’m proud of my professional development and progression so far.

Who’s your inspiration?

A lot of people probably say this but my mum. She’s independent, strong and the type of person who always wants to progress and learn.

What’s next on your bucket list?

I would like to do some kind of fitness challenge. I’ve been getting into fitness in the past six or seven months and I’d also like to visit Vietnam. Why? An episode of Top Gear has inspired me to go there!

What do you do for fun?

Keep fit. It’s become a big part of my daily routine. Other than that, spend time with my family and friends.

Which song best describes you?

I won’t say a Greek one because no one will know it. I’ll go with Common People by Pulp. When I first came to England to study I saw groups of people from different places only mingling with each other.

I wanted to do things differently, so I embraced the local culture and become one of the ‘common people’.

It’s also one of those songs that’s stuck in my mind from listening to it during long road trips through the USA and Canada.

What’s your favourite knock-knock joke?

I don’t know any! My answer to the knock-knock would simply be “it’s me!”

Thank you Katerina!
