The cost of rehiring due to a candidates providing fraudulent background information is significantly higher than running the background check prior to hiring. Even a basic check will highlight any red flags that could be the difference between a successful  employee and a costly re-hire. Another costly mistake is not validating an individual’s “Right to Work.” Each country has a different view on this requirement but all have some form of penalty for failure to comply.
